    JEWELRY

    STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver requires care to stay bright and lustrous. Avoid contact with perfumes, body oils and chemicals, including household cleaners and chemical jewelry cleaners. For a light cleaning before storing away, gently polish with a soft lint-free cloth. Store in a cool dry place.

    FRESHWATER PEARLS

To maintain the longevity and lustre of freshwater pearls, wear them often to keep them hydrated and avoid contact with acids that will break down of the nacre that forms its characteristic sheen. Wipe with a soft clean cloth after each wear to prevent buildup of oils and other impurities and clean with a damp cloth only as needed. For visibly stained pearls, gently wipe with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of lukewarm water and mild dish soap. Because pearls are strung by silk thread, avoid submerging your pearls in water as it may weaken the silk. For best results, take your pearl jewelry to your jeweller once a year to check its integrity and to get them a safe and thorough cleaning.

    GEMSTONES

Gemstones can be maintained simply using a dry soft cloth to gently buff off any caked on residue when needed. Follow by wiping with a soft cloth moistened with water. Wring out any excess water first to make sure the cloth isn't too wet and pat dry with a soft dry cloth when done. This process can be done with a solution of water and a bit of mild soap when a deeper clean is needed. Make sure to remove all soap residue before storing away. Avoid submerging the gemstones in water. Do not use chemical cleaners and keep away from acids which may damage the finish of the gemstone. For best results, take your gemstones to your jeweller once a year to polish and inspect the integrity of the silk strand, if silk is used to tie the gemstones together.

    STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is durable and easy to keep clean and lustrous, but care is needed to prevent scratches. If you find your stainless steel looking dull or dirty, place in a solution of warm water and mild soap for a few minutes. Remove and rub with a soft cloth. For hard to reach places, use a clean soft-bristled toothbrush. If your jewelry has other materials that can't be submerged in water, clean the stainless steel with a soft cloth moistened with the water and mild soap solution instead. After cleaning, dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth to ensure the aren't water spots.

    LEATHER

Leather requires special care to maintain its flexibility and longevity. Avoid exposing your leather jewelry to dust, water and salt. If the leather needs to be cleaned, use a damp, but not wet, cloth to pat down the leather. Use a mild, moisturizing hand soap or leather cleaner on a soft cloth to apply onto the leather. Rinse the soap from the cloth and squeeze any excess water out, then wipe down the leather piece with the soft moistened cloth. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight or heat when done. For best results, apply a moisture barrier from time to time and condition occasionally.

    MUGS

    CERAMIC MUGS

    • Wash on the top rack only.
    • Avoid extra cycle options such as heated drying cycles, sanitize, and steam cycles.
    • For longest-lasting results avoid scrubbing pads, heavily dyed detergents, and steel wool as this can damage the outer coating of the mug and the transferred image.
    • Liquid, power, and "pod" detergents are safe to use.
